Cutting a Window--DIY Altered Book

If you missed this first post please click here.

I am going to cut a "window" in my book to add depth and give me a place to set in some three dimensional objects/decorations.

First, make sure to mark the area you would like to cut.

With a utility knife carefully, cut on the lines.  You will have to make MANY passes with the blade.

Eventually a few of the page parts will come out.  Repeat the cutting process until your window is the depth you want it to be.  This is kind of a slow, tedious process, but it looks so cool in the end.

Stay tuned for further tutorials and ideas for your own altered book!
