Wide Awake and Worked Up.

The other day, I was supposed to go fishing.  I LOVE fishing!  Especially fishing with my dad and my brother.  I needed to leave the house by 7:30 a.m.  Some of you know me well and know my summer schedule is well, not conducive to "normal" people.  However, when it comes to fishing, I will be up and excited.

The night before I was to go fishing, I auditioned for a theater production.  I hate auditioning.  I could never be a professional actor, because most of your job is auditioning.  True, it gets better each time, but I still hate it.  It's like interviewing for a job only worse.  I HATE interviewing--probably gonna stay in my current job just so I never have to interview again.

There is something about auditioning that just works me up into a tizzy.  More so than I've ever felt even before opening night.  I am restless, tense, and my mind RACES about what I could have done better, how sweet it would be to be in the show, and how disappointing it will be if I don't get in.

So, the night before fishing was tense, restless and my mind would NOT shut off.  I slept maybe four hours.  Not good.  Not good for driving.  Not fun for fishing or talking with people.

What things cause you to lose sleep??

I used to be in a little acting company and yeah, I completely agree that auditions are more nerve racking than opening night. At least being up on stage has an air of glamor! Sorry it had to spoil your night, though.

I like your blog! and I like being your newest happy follower :)
