So, here is the "updated" look of the jacket that I found at Savers.  I just wanted new buttons, and what the heck!  Throw on the belt; I love that belt.  I use it a lot.

The buttons are really cool, and you can make them yourself!

My buttons are just made from Sculpey--a magical oven bake clay.  Oh how I love Sculpey.
Just take a ball of sculpey and flatten it a little smaller than you actually need for your project.
Find your favorite rubber stamp, and imprint the Sculpey.  I found that stamp for a buck!
Poke holes through your button (you can just use a tooth pick).
Put the Buttons in a glass baking pan.  Preheat the oven at 270 degrees F then, bake the buttons for about 15-20 minutes.  Let them cool thouroughly and viola!  They will be solid and strong.  I like to put a coat of varnish on--there are many kinds to choose from.  Some are even specially made for use with Sculpey or other polymer clays.

Go make some buttons!

So I read your post and I use sculpey all the time. I never thought to use stamps like that. Great Idea Mrs.R. I will definitely have to try it on something.
